inspired by the desire to create a range of unique and beautifully made fashion accessories derby-based designer alison bolam set up ali b. in september 2002 with support from the prince's youth business trust.

the product range includes handbags in a variety of styles from shoulder totes to clutch bags, along with a small collection of purses.

each accessory is made by hand from colourful felts, cotton and denim fabrics to a professional finish and with practical features such as magnet snap or zip fasteners.

emphasis is placed on attention to detail with individually-made motifs, beading and detachable brooches all accenting the simple yet striking designs.

collections incorporate loveheart, bow and butterfly motifs to evoke the
ali b. signature of fun and vibrant style.

although the business ceased trading in april 2005 ali b. still makes accessories in her spare time and decided to keep the website so that other handbag-loving people out there can view, and purchase from, the collections.
